Add-ons: Short URL

Most multichannel communication and marketing tools like Short Messaging Service (SMS), WhatsApp, and others and others have a limit on the maximum number of characters that can be sent in a single message. Even in other methods like email, lengthy messages would create a disinterest in the mind of general audience, and the read rate would drastically go down. This is where our short URL add-ons can save your day!

You can compress URLs with our short URL tool and effortlessly incorporate them into SMS, email, or other communication channels. You can even direct users to web pages, images, videos, or audio content with shortened links, making your messages cleaner and more effective. Converting to Short URL

Step 1: Click the ‘Add-ons’ panel from the menu on the left side. This will open a panel with all available add-ons. Select ‘Short URL’ from the list. This will open a panel with further settings.

Step 2: In the panel, you will see a table with the details of the short URLs you have created. If you have not created any short URLs yet, the table will be empty. Click the ‘Add’ button on the top right of the table. It will open the ‘Add Short URL’ side panel.

Step 3: In the panel, provide a name for the group in the ‘Short URL Title’ field.

Step 4: Select the type of URL destination from the ‘URL Type’ drop-down menu. You can select a URL that directs to a web page, image, video, or audio.

Step 5: Enter the URL in the ‘URL’ field and click ‘Go’. This will create a shortened URL, which will be displayed in the next field, ‘Short URL’.

Step 6: Copy the shortened URL from the ‘Short URL’ field and paste it in any other communication channel you like.

 

Editing a Short URL

Step 1: Click the ‘Add-ons’ panel from the menu on the left side. From the list of add-ons, select ‘Short URL’.

Step 2: You will see a table with the details of the short URLs you have created. Click the ellipsis icon (…) against the short URL that you want to edit in the ‘Actions’ column. From the subsequent drop-down menu, select ‘Edit’.

Step 3: In the ‘Edit URL’ side panel, make necessary changes you want in URL title, URL type, or in the URL.

Step 4: Click ‘Submit’ after all the changes are done.
