Add-ons: Source
If taking action on multiple leads at the same time or categorizing the leads seems a hectic task, then the ‘Source’ add-on might be the solution for you. Use the source add-on to categorize records or visitors based on their source and channel types. This will enable your users to take action on multiple leads from the same source, letting them streamline marketing and sales efforts. Read the section below to get a clear understanding of how to effectively leverage the source add-ons.
Step 1: To create a source, click the ‘Add-ons’ panel from the menu on the left side. This will open a panel with all available add-ons. Select ‘Source’ from the list. This will open a panel with further settings.
Step 2: You will see a table with the details of the sources you have created. If you have not created any sources yet, the table will be empty. Click the ‘Add’ button on the top right of the table. It will open the ‘Add Source’ side panel.
Step 3: Provide a source name and description in the ‘Add Source’ side panel.
Below the description, you will find a field titled ‘Source Type’, with a drop-down menu. It consists of two options: Record Source and Visitor Source.

- Record Source: It refers to the sources that are deployed with the intention to create leads, along with capturing some vital information such as the phone number.
E.g.: Virtual numbers, forms, email campaigns, etc. - Visitor Source: It refers to the sources whose purpose is to generate visitors to the company’s website, other pages, or ads.

Let’s take a detailed look at both of these source types.
Record Source
If you select ‘Record Source’ as the source type, you will be able to pick the record channel in the next field. Refer to the section below to know how to manage a channel of your choice.
Virtual Number
Select the call type (inbound/outbound). If it is inbound, select the virtual number you receive inbound calls from in the drop-down menu.
If it is outbound, select the virtual number you use to make outbound calls and select the outbound dialer type (preview/predictive). You can also select the list from which outbound calls are made.
Form
If your chosen channel is ‘Form’, select the forms you want to include in the subsequent field.
If you choose email as the channel, you can select either inbound or outbound email type. If it is inbound email, select the email ID to which the reply is directed.
If the email type is outbound, select and the email ID from which emails are sent.
Long Code
With the Long Code channel, you can select the long code type (inbound/outbound) and the virtual number to send and receive long codes.
If the selected channel is WhatsApp, then select the type (inbound/outbound). If the chosen type is inbound, choose the WhatsApp number in which WhatsApp messages are received. If the selected type is outbound, choose the WhatsApp number from which the messages are sent.
File Upload
The ‘File Upload’ channel is a very useful tool to upload the details of leads you have acquired from other offline or traditional sources. For example, if you want to run retargeting campaigns on the list of leads you received from a location-specific campaign, this feature can be helpful.
Object
If you want to upload records from an object that you have already created, select ‘From Object’ as the channel name. In the subsequent field, you can select one or multiple objects that you have created.
List
The ‘Lists & Views’ panel allows you to filter the records and create lists with records that satisfy any specific condition, as per your requirement. You can add those lists into the ‘Source’ function in order to conduct campaigns on selected records in the list. Simply choose ‘List’ as the channel name and then select any list from the drop-down.
You can also select multiple channels as your source. After selecting the source type as ‘Record Source’, select whatever sources you want to add in the ‘Channel Name’ field. You can then input the details of those channels in the subsequent fields, as mentioned in the sections above.
Visitor Source
If you select ‘Visitor Source’ as the source type, you will be able to pick the channel name in the next field. Refer to the section below to know how to manage a channel of your choice.
Page Visitor
If you want to create a source with the visitors to a particular webpage, then choose ‘Page Visitor’ as your channel name. You can then enter the webpage URL in the next field.
Chat Visitor
If you want to create a source with the individuals who chatted with you:
Step 1: Choose ‘Chat Visitor’ as your channel name.
Step 2: Select the chat type (inbound/outbound) in the next field.
Step 3: You can either select ‘Any Text’ in the ‘Chat Text’ column to add the customers who used that text in their chat, or select ‘Keyword’ to filter chats that consist the selected keyword.
Step 4: If you selected ‘Any Text’ enter a particular piece of text in the next field. If you selected ‘Keyword’, select the keyword you want to filter chats with.
Ads
If you want to create a source from the website or webpage visitors who were generated from a particular ad (PPC ads, social media ads, etc.) choose ‘Ads’ in the channel name field. Then you can select the ad from which you want to create the source.
Editing a Source
In case you wish to edit the items in a source, go to the table and click the ellipsis icon (…) against that source in the ‘Actions’ column. From the subsequent menu in the drop-down, select ‘Edit’. This will open the ‘Edit Source’ side panel, where you can then edit the fields.
Deleting a Source
If you want to delete a source, click the ellipsis icon (…) against that source in the ‘Actions’ column. From the subsequent menu in the drop-down, select ‘Delete’.
